After returning
from the Summer Sunshine Cruise onboard the MV Van Gogh, I have decided to create this website about the great ship and its
crew!
MV Van Gogh
is a Dutch-owned cruise ship, which is currently being charted by Travelscope UK. Travelscope UK, have been using the Van
Gogh for cruises from Falmouth, Cornwall and other locations throughout the UK since 2001. There is a range of cruises onboard
from summer voyages around the Mediterranean to a Firework Christmas cruise.
The Van Gogh
was built in Wartsila, Finland 1974 and was delivered in June 1975 for Soviet Union Lines as a cruise / car ferry. The Van
Gogh was previously known as Gruziya and Club 1. She was modernized and refitted in 1994 to a high standard for Club Cruises.
Measuring at 156.26 metres in length, MV Van Gogh is not the largest of cruise ships and with a friendly and excellent crew
she more than makes up for it. Van Gogh has inherited the nickname of the ‘friendly ship’ from her passengers
and the fantastic atmosphere onboard makes this cruise ship the best around and a must for any cruiser, young or old.
Hope you enjoy the website!
